With a uniquely modern approach to 21st century filmmaking, LoneShark believes in the freeing power of technology to embrace the oldest art in the world: storytelling.
When life threw them together, Patrick Ward-Perkins & Jonathan Ehlers teamed up as the creative & directing duo of LoneShark Studios. The alchemist's recipe? A USC School of Cinema education crossed with street-smart guerrilla filmmaking, and European aesthetics finding strength in New York grit.
Exploring the wild ins and outs of Hollywood (Patrick once handed a Glock to Dame Helen Mirren), the duo has collaborated on web content, music videos and short films - including one recognized at the Tribeca Film Festival.
In 2015 they released their award-winning feature film, INK & STEEL, a New York mafia drama. LoneShark no longer breaks knee-caps, but they take no prisoners either.
On and off set they redefine the art of collaboration and frequently team-up with partners in crime. One of their favorites is Jason Radspinner who co-wrote and co-produced INK & STEEL with Jonathan and Patrick. Hailing from Tucson Arizona, Jason is also a USC School of Cinema graduate & brings his screenwriter as well as novelist strengths to the team.
Proponents of Method Writing, LoneShark believes there is no better way to pay respect to the inspirations of their characters than to follow in their footsteps and learn what they are made of. Click here for more details on Method Writing.
